Arena is an amphitheatre built at the end of the st century AD with the capacity for 20000 spectators who came to watch the gladiators fight. Today, it is used as a theater and for bullfights during the FERIAS (traditional bullfighting festivals). 5 minutes from the hotel (200m). The historical centre filled with roman monuments offering wonderful excursions, from the hotel : 10 minutes : MAISON CARREE ( temple built in 5 AD) 15 minutes : JARDINS DE LA FONTAINE (XVIII century french-style gardens) and TEMPLE DE DIANE. 30 minutes : the roman ramparts with  TOUR MAGNE (tower), PORTE AUGUSTE and PORTE DE FRANCE. The Pont du Gard is the roman aqueduct spanning 50 Kms wich one supplied water to the antique town of Nimes.
